Captain Steve
Stone

I've been fishing in the Florida Keys since July of 1984. Fishing the charterboats and Partyboats for ten years as a fishing enthusiast and chasing a dream that I've always had. I knew one day I wanted to captain and mate these boats in the world famous Islamorada, Florida Key's and lead anglers to catch the beautiful and tasty fish I've caught over the years in the fabulous Florida Key's.
I became a resident of the Florida Keys in February of 1994 and I have worked aboard numerous charter boats and party boats in the Florida Key's as a mate. Then in January of 1997 I got my captains license and continued to freelance as a Captain, Mate and guide anglers to produce the catch of their dream.
Over the years, as angler, mate and now captain, I've gained a vast knowledge of fishing the reefs in the Florida Key's for Yellowtail Snapper, Grouper, Mutton Snapper (my favorite to "Catch & Eat"), also Sailfish and King Mackerel, wahoo with live bait as well as Cobia, Sharks and Barracuda.

Offshore |
|
In the Bluewater and Offshore in the Gulfstream of the Florida Key's , we troll for Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Sailfish along the weed lines, current edges and color changes, while always searching for that magical piece of floating debris which usually holds fish. We are also always chasing the birds which are feeding on the schools of baitfish which will lead us to produce the offshore species of fish through out the year in the Florida Key's

Live bait wreck fishing in the Florida Key's is probably one of my favorite types of fishing. There are numerous wrecks, ledges, coral heads, ditches and other fish attracting locations that produce big Grouper, Snapper, King Mackerel and Wahoo all within five miles of Islamorada, Florida Key's.

Night
Tarpon/Shark Trips |
|
20 21 22
We also do evening Tarpon and Shark excursions right in the Whale Harbor Channel at the Head pin and near the shore line as well as under the bridges of the Florida Key's. These are fun catch and release trips. All of this action is less than fifteen minutes from the dock at Pelican Cove. Here the water is always calm so you do not have to worry about seasickness or a long time consuming ride to the fishing grounds. This is a three hour trip, so For a line-stretching, drag-screaming evening of fun on light tackle, these trips can't be beat. Or just enjoy a fantastic Florida Keys sunset.
We look forward to hooking you up!
